The Simpsons

The single greatest TV show of all time is The Simpsons. This is not an opinion it is a fact. It is the longest running sitcom in the history of the world. It is also one of the most popular. Millions of people watch this show every day. This show started as a short skit that regularly appeared on a variety show. It has become a part of the American tradition. It really is how that almost anyone can relate to. It is basically the story of the average American household. There is the trouble maker, the nerdy student, the stay at home mom that holds the house together, and the blundering father. The father, Homer usually gets himself into some sort of hilarious problem that is solved.
There are thousands of characters for anyone to relate to. Each character has his own story and characteristic. There are no cookie cutters here. There really is no filler in this show at all. Every second of every episode serves its purpose to make you laugh.
I guess the reason I really love this show is because I see a lot of my family in it. My mom holds the family together and my dad is the one who acts like a kid sometimes. My older brother is definitely Bart, always getting into trouble. I am kind of a Bart an Lisa hybrid. I do well in school but I also can find some trouble.
The Simpsons are the best

We are subject to so many advertisement on a daily basis. Thousands of advertisements are targeted at us everywhere you look. Most Americans get their advertisement fix from the TV. I personally watch a lot of TV, so I get to see a lot of commercials. It really takes a lot to catch my eye. A commercial that really stood out to me is a commercial from Reebok. It wasn’t really advertising a certain product as much as it was advertising the brand. The commercial is about a company that is having problems with their workers under performing. The company hires Terry Tate office linebacker. He runs around and tackles the employees that are slacking off. He really tackles them hard and is yelling, all the while wearing Bright red Reebok football jersey. This commercial really made me laugh it was hilarious. If already did not have a lifelong loyalty to Nike this commercial would have made consider their product. I think it is really memorable because it was so funny and unexpected. It remains one of my favorite commercials ever. Sometimes I even watch it again on youtube.com. Which I guess means Reebok did a good job to make me look at their product twice.

Thursday

Thursday is the day that will make or break a college student. Every Thursday night millions of college students go out to party. It is one of the best party nights. When this tradition started it I have no idea. I usually try to stay in on Thursdays because I have an 8AM class the next day. This Thursday was a different story. My friends came down from Crystal Lake. They are some of my best friends and usually can talk me into doing anything, which usually leads to trouble. My friends talked me into going out on Thursday, but only if I could leave at 11:00. This didn’t not hold true. I could not leave I was having such a good time. I ended up staying out until around two o’clock in the morning. I did not go to 3 of my classes the next day. This going out on Thursday has to come to an end. It is ruining me academically. Moral of the story I am no longer going out on Thursday.
Peace out
Matt
P.S. DON’T GO OUT ON THURSDAY
